PIC18F4550
Microchip PIC18F4550 8-bit USB MCU, 32 KB flash, 2048 B SRAM, 48 MHz, full-speed USB 2.0, in a 40-pin package.
The PIC18F4550 is a Microchip high-performance 8-bit microcontroller based on the PIC18 enhanced flash architecture, in a 40-pin package, with an integrated USB 2.0 full-speed interface. It offers 32 KB of enhanced flash program memory, 2048 bytes of SRAM and 256 bytes of EEPROM data memory, with 35 general-purpose I/O pins and thirteen 10-bit analog-to-digital converter channels. The USB interface is compliant with USB V2.0 and supports low-speed and full-speed operation with control, interrupt, isochronous and bulk transfers, which makes the device a natural fit for a USB peripheral or an instrument that connects to a computer, and the nanoWatt technology keeps the power low with an idle current down to a few microamps and a sleep current well below a microamp. The peripheral set includes four timers, two capture-compare-PWM modules, an MSSP module for SPI and I2C, an enhanced USART and an SPP for the parallel port, and the device runs up to 48 MHz with a PLL for USB, over a 2.0 V to 5.5 V supply. Typical applications include USB peripherals, instrumentation, data acquisition and industrial control. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the memory and the package and plan the USB and the power.
FAE Professional Review
The PIC18F4550 is the 8-bit PIC to choose when the design needs USB 2.0 in a 40-pin package, with 32 KB of flash and a low-power nanoWatt core. The full-speed USB and the broad transfer support make it easy to add a PC connection, and the PLL gives the 48 MHz USB clock. Confirm the USB current and the supply, and use the low-power modes for a battery design.
